I want... I must leave this place. The comfort the House offered me when I first arrived is gone, and the place, or the elusive creatures that haunt it, seek to harm me. The step I was using to reach the second floor gave way, sending me tumbling down the stairs to the landing. I must leave, but how? That wrought-iron gate, whose creaking I sometimes hear on its hinges, taunts me, receding a little further with each step I take in its direction.
